As a new dad who just went through the baby whirlwind, this book hit the mark. There’s a lot of baby advice out there, and most of it either talks down to you or assumes you already know everything. This one doesn’t.

It’s short, but that’s the point — no fluff, just what you actually need to know. I appreciated how it focused on being hands-on and involved, not just the gear but the mindset shift. It gave me a better idea of what matters, what’s optional, and how to stay present without getting overwhelmed.

If you’re the kind of guy who wants to show up for your kid but doesn’t want to drown in endless forums and mommy blog lists, this is a solid, no-nonsense guide. Wish I had it earlier.

“This book is great for expectant fathers in helping them ease into parenthood by focusing on the most practical steps to prepare for a new baby. I loved the no nonsense approach to baby gear as well. Additionally, I liked that the author’s tone was casual and friendly, making the details on cribs, strollers, and everything else feel accessible rather than daunting. This book provides just enough structure and confidence to get started without weighing you down in unneeded details.”
