Author H.E. Gran organizes useful information that is easy enough to digest, and assures that a habitual plant-killer like myself can find some success.

I have always wanted to grow indoor plants, trying many times to get started. My attempts have always ended in failure, but rather than giving up I stumbled upon this book which gives me a small sliver of hope. I have meticulously read the information provided by H.E. Gran and feel the call of nature once again reaching out to me.

I would strongly encourage any green-thumb enthusiasts to do themselves (and their plants) a favor by picking up and reading this book!

My sister has fallen in love with houseplants; and her home is a calm oasis, while I have had a lifetime of killing them. Houseplant Myths for Beginners is a factual, yet fun guide for the plant lover, nurturer and plant killer. I appreciate the q and a format of the book and it is laid out concisely and easy to read. There are pictures of the writer’s plants and a list of plants that have special powers- such as aloe vera and culinary herbs. My favorite part of the book is the summary at the end of each chapter.
