“Yes, since plants often require less water than first expected, overwatering is one of the most common mistakes and a leading cause of dying houseplants. – Overwatering can happen by giving small amounts of water too frequently, say after just a few days, or too much volume each watering session time. The plant and roots then receive more water than can be absorbed, making the soil overly moist, and the roots become too wet and deprived of oxygen. If this waterlogged condition persists, it leads to root rot and becomes fatal to houseplants.”
